Ely Cathedral and Papworth Hospital Carol Service

For the second year running the choir have sung  again at the Ely Cathedral.  We were very honoured to sing in such a beautiful  Cathedral with the lighted Christmas Tree gloriously standing all of eighteen feet high. We sang a very pretty carol ‘Colours of Christmas’ words and music by John Rutter.  After the service the choir proceeded to the front of the Cathedral to serve warmed mulled wine,  coffee and tea and also a lovely mince pie to the congregation.  A suprise was in store though, with the choir suddenly bursting into song with a rendition of ‘Mozarts Mince Pies’ and donning their red and white christmas chefs hats, a great time was had by all.  After all the excitment, the choir enjoyed a really tasty and well presented Christmas Dinner in the Cathedral’s Almonry Restaurent.
