For our monthly lunch we met at Roxton Garden Centre to enjoy their Christmas fare and spent some time shopping for gifts amongst the wonderful display of merchandize. Whilst there a gift was given to Christine Smith who had injured her arm.
Our meeting in December was a most enjoyable Christmas social and we feasted on a delicious buffet before the Papworth Everard and Elsworth W.I. choir entertained us with a medley from their repertoire before leading all the members in some well-known carols.
At the last choir evening for the year, we invited friends and family. The evening started with mulled wine and mince pies before the choir entertained our guests. As well as singing from their repertoire, eveyone joined together to sing a few carols before a thank-you presentation was made to our choir leader, Jan, and accompanist Penny.
The choir also enjoyed visiting The Close where we entertained the audience, singing several songs before they joined in with singing carols. Afterwards we enjoyed more mince pies and drinks.
