The Choir were invited to sing on the occasion of the Cambridge Federation of Womens Institute 100 year Birthday Celebration on 1st November. It was an absolutly wonderful afternoon with the Cambridge Players to entertain us for up to an hour of humerous scripts and tales of the WI during its 100 year journey and how funny they were, they also dressed in costumes of each decade. Cambridge WI members presented everyone with a splendid high tea, marvelous tasty finger sandwiches, cream scones and so many beautiful cakes were baked by them for this event. An interesting talk was presented by the National Chair followed by thanks from Sally Kingman Cambridge Chair.
The Choir then sang an enviomental songs ‘Blackbird with one White Feather’, sending out a very popular message and then ‘Hine Ma Tov’ a lively Jewish song. Everyone then joined the choir to a rendition of ‘Jerusalam’. A truely memorous event was enjoyed by all.
